And it comes as a sizable upgrade over its predecessor, Amazon Eero 6, which took a lot of hits because of its WiFi 5 setup, inferior processor, and, in turn, inconsistent performance. These aspects are well-managed with the latest version.

The mesh system performs well in my throughput tests, courtesy of its 802.11ax WiFi 6 protocol. I paired it with a 750 Mbps plan, and over the 5GHz band, download and upload speeds panned out at 697 Mbps and 20 Mbps. While over the 2.4GHz band, respective speeds were around 511 Mbps and 17 Mbps.
