The other night, I was browsing through Netflix and stumbled across a documentary called The Pez Outlaw.
This 2022 film shares the story of Steve Glew, who managed to make over $1 million by buying and selling Pez dispensers during the 1990s.
The documentary is honestly awesome. And there's something comical about the side hustle of buying rare Pez dispensers from factories in Eastern Europe and then selling them at a massive profit in America.
The documentary also got me thinking: where can you sell vintage Pez dispensers these days? After all, I had loads of Pez dispensers as a kid, so is my collection worth anything?
Let's take a look at how to sell old Pez dispensers and what some of the most valuable models are to help you start selling.

Where To Sell Vintage Pez Dispensers
When it comes to selling vintage Pez dispensers, your best option is to stick with online marketplaces. This is because buyers are already on these platforms looking for niche collectibles.
In my research, I've found that the following five capps and marketplaces are some of the best ways to begin selling.
1. eBay
When it comes to selling vintage Pez dispensers, nothing really beats eBay.
This online marketplace is one of the best places to sell collectibles like rare Pez dispensers, Beanie Babies, rare coins, sports cards, and more.
I did a quick search on eBay, and people are selling all sorts of vintage dispensers, including some rare ones like the full-body Santa Pez and the colored pumpkin set.
Prices range from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars for rare Pez dispensers. Ultimately, I'd start out selling on eBay because this seems to have the largest buyer pool.
Just make sure you do some competitive research and price your Pez collection or individual dispensers similarly to the competition. And make sure you factor in potential shipping fees and eBay seller fees into your listing.
2. Facebook
Facebook is another popular place to sell just about anything, from old furniture and shoes to collector's items like old Pez dispensers.
I've also sold plenty of things on Facebook Marketplace before to make quick cash during college. If you live in a decently-sized town or city, you can post your vintage Pez collection for sale on FB Marketplace to see if you get any bites.
Alternatively, you can sell Pez dispensers by using Facebook Groups like Pez Collectors: Buy, Sell, Trade.
This group has over 6,000 members and is meant for buying and selling Pez. All you have to do is join, post your collection for sale, and then negotiate with interested buyers on a price.
3. Etsy
While it might surprise you, another place you can sell vintage Pez dispensers is Etsy.
Etsy is the go-to marketplace for handmade and vintage goods. It's also an online side hustle I tried in college when I ran an Etsy print on demand store.
At the time of writing, some Etsy sellers also have rare Pez dispensers for sale. And some sellers also have entry-level ones for sale at just a few dollars per unit.
If you have a lot of dispensers to sell, starting an Etsy shop around Pez could be a good idea.
And some sellers are getting creative by selling Etsy stickers and other print on demand merchandise, so you can think outside of the box on this one.
4. Reddit r/pez
There are plenty of ways to make money with Reddit, including selling stuff. So, unsurprisingly, Reddit makes our list for the best places to sell vintage Pez dispensers.
Specifically, you can post your collection or individual dispensers for sale on r/pez.
This community has nearly 7,000 members who are devoted to all things Pez. It's a nice way to stay in touch with the community, share your latest finds, and to also swap buying tips.
You can also use r/PEZswap to buy and sell Pez dispensers to your fellow collectors. It's a smaller subreddit, but you might find some passionate buyers here, especially if you have a valuable collection.
5. OfferUp
One final place to sell vintage Pez dispensers you can consider is OfferUp.
This free app is a popular Facebook Marketplace alternative, letting you sell just about anything locally. So, you can post your collection for free to see if you get any bites from buyers.
You can also sell stuff online with OfferUp. However, online sales are subject to a 12.9% seller fee, so I suggest sticking to local sales with OfferUp.
Also note that you can sell plenty of other collectibles on OfferUp, like Pokemon cards, old comic books, Funko Pops, and just about anything you can think of.

Tips For Selling Old Pez Dispensers
Now that you know where to sell Pez dispensers for cash, here are a few tips that are useful to keep in mind when selling:

Final Thoughts
I hope my guide on selling vintage Pez dispensers helps you turn that old collection of yours into some extra cash.
After watching Pez Outlaw, I have a lot of admiration for the Pez collector scene. And even though the couple of dispensers I have stashed in my parent's garage with other items from my childhood aren't worth anything, this was a very cool niche topic to explore.
And who knows; you might find that selling old Pez dispensers turns into a fun flipping side hustle that yields a significant amount of money.
Best of luck with your selling!
